FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is BRIG™?
BRIG is a collapsible, lockable cargo case designed to integrate into SUV and hatchback cargo areas, helping deter smash-and-grab theft while preserving everyday usability.
Is BRIG theft-proof?
No product can guarantee absolute theft prevention. BRIG is designed to deter smash-and-grab theft by increasing the time, effort, and risk required to access cargo.
What vehicles does BRIG fit?
BRIG is designed to fit most mid-sized to large SUVs and hatchbacks. It does not currently fit compact SUVs or hatchbacks. A future iteration of BRIG is planned to support smaller vehicle cargo areas. Final sizing and compatibility details will be confirmed prior to fulfillment.
What material is BRIG made from?
BRIG is built using a hybrid hardshell-softshell construction. This combines a reinforced structural shell for shape and protection with a high-durability, slash and puncture-resistant fabric exterior. The result is a collapsible system that maintains rigidity when expanded, while still being lightweight and flexible when stored.
How does BRIG’s collapsible design work?
BRIG is designed to expand and collapse depending on your needs. When not in use, it compresses down to just 5 inches in height, allowing you to keep your trunk fully usable for everyday storage. When deployed, it expands to 19 inches tall, creating over 14 cubic feet of secure storage space for larger items like outdoor gear, luggage, and photography equipment.
How does BRIG anchor to the vehicle?
BRIG utilizes a reinforced cable anchoring system that secures directly to factory cargo tie-down points inside the vehicle, adding a strong layer of theft resistance and preventing easy removal.
When will BRIG be available?
BRIG will launch on Kickstarter soon. Backers will receive early access and priority fulfillment.
Will there be a warranty?
Yes. BRIG will include a limited warranty. Full details will be shared prior to shipping.
How does Kickstarter work?
Kickstarter allows supporters to back the first production run. You are not purchasing an off-the-shelf product, but supporting its launch.
